Girl Night! :) :)

Girls night... ;)
My Friend Miriam, is over for the night, and We intend to have an old fashioned movie night...
For Supper, We are Having...
Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
I Got this recipe from a Cookbook, my Mom got from my Aunt for Christmas one year... And Guys love tis because it has protein from both the cheese and the meat. Here is the recipe:

Take Two pieces of Bread (Your Choice)
Spread Mayonnaise on both slices and butter the other side...
put your favorite cheese, or a mixture of different cheeses on one slice.
Next place a layer of tomatoes on,
a layer of lunch meat,
and a layer of cheese again.
place the other slice of bread on top of that.
(Remember not to build a Dagwood, you still have to grill this)
If you didn't butter the bread, don't fret.
You can always stick a little bit of Butter on the griddle or pan,
make sure the pan is Hot, because the bread will get soggy, and the cheese won't melt... lol
(I do this one all the time... I never could grill a cheese sandwich right until last year sometime... lol) .

So there you go!a yummy recipe that is easy, quick and delicious. :)

Now on to other matters... ;)
Guys do not have the capability to simply enjoy certain movies.
We Girls, love to watch, Sappy, Mushy, Romantic, and Tragic movies.
We love to cheer for the good guy, we love to see fainting,
We love the young dashing prince, practically swoon ourselves lol .
We love to Cry,
and we love it when the evil villain of the movie gets his just desserts.
So speaking, we have picked a few movies that
Exemplify exactly the type of movies we are talking about..

Northanger Abby

Life Means so much

Today I found out that another Friend, or acquaintance, or friend, of a friend has died.
He was in a motorcycle accident, went out for an evening drive, and was hit by an on coming vehicle. He wasn't very old, in his early twenties, At what we would call the beginning...
"He had his whole life in front of him"
But did he really? We say that we have so much time to live, to breathe, to love. We do not know when we will be called into eternity. It may be the next moment ,or tomorrow, or in a year... It could even be in thirty years from now, Life is so fragile, and precious.
I'm not sure if Anyone heard of the John and Sadie Esh Family, I had friends who knew them, and I watched their little girl, while the older ones attended the Funeral. Willie's Old room-mates Father past away from a heart attack just a week ago. Now Steve, they were all of different ages... which can only mean one thing, Death is not discriminatory. It will Come to us all, It does not wait until we are old, alone and asleep in our beds, It will come at the moment the Father has given and only then.
The Esh family were at different stages in their lives... One of the couples had just had a baby, and had two adopted sons (The two boys survived). There was an engaged couple, and their friend. Two older sisters that were single and of course the parents. Eleven people that were headed to a joyous occasion- a wedding.
Well they are at the best Wedding to ever take place... The Marriage Supper of The Lamb.
Here is one of their songs they sang. called HOME.
The room-mates Dad was just going about his day... as was Steven. What
The question now is will you be ready to die when death is here?
This is just a reminder, to myself included, to make everyday count for the true meaning of Life, to Serve God with Everything we are made of.

If the man sitting next to you on the train, or the lady next door, or even the child playing down the street were to die today, would you have done everything to show Christ to him?
I didn't ever meet the room-mates Dad or the Esh's And I really didn't know Steven too well, but It has touched many lives around me. To See this has made me see how much we as humans take for granted... the very breath in our lungs is a gift from God and our lives should be the one thing we lay at His feet.

"Lord, Teach us to Count our Days, Teach us to make or Days count"
Every day is a journal page
Every man holds a quill and ink
And there's plenty of room for writing

All we do is believe and think
So will you compose a curse
Or will today bring the blessing
Fill the page with rhyming verse
Or some random sketching

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Every day is a bank account
And time is our currency
So nobody's rich, nobody's poor
We get 24 hours each
So how are you gonna spend
Will you invest, or squander
Try to get ahead
Or help someone who's under

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much
Life means so much
Life means so much

Has anybody ever lived who knew the value of a life
And don't you think giving is all
What proves the worth of yours and mine

Teach us to count the days
Teach us to make the days count
Lead us in better ways
That somehow our souls forgot
Life means so much

Every day is a gift you've been given
Make the most of the time every minute you're living

May We serve Him with our All and in everything

Go Ye Therefore, and Teach ALL NATIONS...

Teaching Them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded to you

How Does Your Garden Grow...

Hello! :) I know, I haven't posted in awhile, Kinda been busy... I know, that's no excuse. So I thought I would update you on the wedding plans... still haven't quite got the guest list figured out. Getting there though. :)
I have been trying to figure out my flowers... which is harder then it looks, or at least for me.
First off you have to figure out what type of wedding your going to have... the "Vibe" the feeling people get while attending... Anybody who knows me, knows for some unknown reason, I have made it my life long goal to study weddings and know precisely what I wanted. In other words I was obsessed... lol
Anyway the Victorians believed that flowers have a large amount of significance and meaning in the type and color you chose of your flowers. Some are for Mourning, Some For Luck, others are Friendship, Admiration, Flattery, Beauty, "Love at First Sight" And there is Even one that represents Jealousy... Yep, Flowers are worth a thousand emotions.
When I first started to look at flowers I thought... Yeah You Guessed it! ROSES, roses absolutely everywhere... But Have you seen the price of Roses lately?
My Stars, you could go into debt just by buying enough flowers for a twelve person wedding party... But they sure are gorgeous... And the Rose has always been my favorite flower. *Sigh*
I was determined to find a decent price on my roses... and trust me I looked, and searched Hi and low, but alas, the Victory would not be mine... :( *Sigh, Gulp, sigh* At one point I thought I had found the best deal... I had searched under the same key words before... the same everything and there it was... two great websites:
I thought oh great my flowers... And there they were *Squeal giggle laugh*Deep red Roses, and Gorgeous white Calla Lillies I was excited, and floating on cloud nine... which ended with a thud and direct meeting with the ground. Price tag? : $750.00 Even if that was everything we got in the way of flowers, and all, we couldn't afford it. that was way over the flower budget... And believe me I tried... Willie finally told that it was OK if I didn't get them. (His way of Assuring me. I was disappointed and a really big bubble had popped and he, as always was there, to make sure I was gonna be fine.)
So back to the drawing board.... I read books from the library, I checked websites, and I scoured all of Tennessee in search of roses. I even asked friends if they knew of anywhere that they sold roses at a good price. "Nope, sorry we don't wish we could help..."
A friend suggested that I get a couple dozen roses and just use them in the bouquets. But with the roses being no where else I just couldn't bring myself to do that...
(I am ocd when it comes to organizational things, they have to be a certain thing, or way... because it really drives me crazy if they are not lol :-D) I know bad trait, and Thank you Lord for sending me someone who is easy going on this, because he makes me RELAX... lol
Now I gave up and started looking at different flowers...
I found a really great book by the "Knot weddings" team.
It tells all about all kinds of flowers and what type of price range, and all that good stuff. (I found out that My Mom got an awesome Blessing from God, because she didn't pay a dime on her flowers and Lilacs are Expensive... She literally had Buckets of them everywhere, lol they are in the top of "priceyness" lol)
I Was Cleaning One day, and ran across one of Mom's seed catalogs (She is quite the gardener) and started flipping through it... For learning purpose.... ;) ok, ok it's procrastination, pure and simple lol :) They had a section on cut flowers *Epiphany* Lets just grow the flowers... "MOM! Can we.... " She said we could try, this summer she is growing them and we shall see how well they are blooming in July...
(It truly is a blessing to have a 15 month timetable to work with. )
She and I sat down together, and picked out two very beautiful Daises types, plus Gerbera Daises .
The "Cherry Brandy" is in the Aster/ Daisy family, its similar types are Black Eyed Susans, Gloriosa Daisy, and Yellow Oxeye Daisy. They are a deep red, and have a "chocolate center" which is good because I didn't want the Bright Yellow... It would clash with my (Burgundy color theme)
And the "Asti White" is actually an African Daisy. It's white or near white, with a dark, dark purple center, Again this is really great because It doesn't clash with my colors.
So there you have it ...
My Adventures so far with the flowers for the wedding. :)
I know this sounds really weird, but could you guys please Keep the flowers in your prayers... I intend to try and find a back up plan if necessary, but would prefer to go with this, because of sentimental reasons and it also cuts the expenses to a fraction of the price.
Which is so buget friendly! lol :)
I found some really great pictures on the internet of daisies in wedding bouquets that just inspired me to go with the daises completely... So Enjoy! :)

I have placed Links on Both pictures, below that will take you to websites that sell these seed, If any are interested in them. :) You may need to shop around for the best prices,
But These are starters. :)
The Name of the Flowers are:
Rudbeckia: "Cherry Brandy" AND Osteospernum: "Asti Whites"
"Justice" And "Innocence and Loyal Love"
